Long hot drives are a little more uncomfortable due to a 1-3 second whistle coming from the air conditioning vents. Owners of Toyota Tacomas built between 2016 through 2023 noticed that when the air conditioner compressor cycles, the annoying sound is more prevalent with increased RPM. Fortunately, Toyota has published a bulletin (T-SB-0004-22) to give drivers a little audio relief. The bulletin contains a repair procedure to identify and fix the issue and is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty for 36 months or 36,000 miles.
