If you’re looking for repair information on pre-1982 vehicles, or if you can’t find specific information on a vehicle in ALLDATA Repair® or ALLDATA Collision®, the ALLDATA Library Research team is here to help.

Staffed by experienced automotive technicians, many with ASE and Master Technician certifications, the Library team recently marked a major milestone – solving 3 million customer requests for harder-to-find OEM information.

While the ALLDATA product databases offer the latest OEM information for more than 44,000 engine-specific models, the Library team can help customers drill down to the precise repair information for their issue and also provide manufacturer data on new models that are currently being processed.

Best of all, the team has an industry-leading response time of less than 30 minutes for the majority of inquiries. The Library Research support service is included at no additional cost for ALLDATA Repair and ALLDATA Collision customers.

How customers access ALLDATA’s Library research team

The fastest way to reach the Library team is through the online request form in the product, Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The team responds with the information via email or fax, depending on the customer’s preference.

What’s the difference between Library service and Tech-Assist?

The Library research team is part of our Best-In-Class Customer Support that’s included with ALLDATA Repair and ALLDATA Collision subscriptions.

ALLDATA Tech-Assist® is an add-on diagnostic hotline support service staffed by ASE-certified Master Technicians that provides advanced diagnostics and enables shops to take on more difficult repairs. Subscriptions are available for Standard (3 cases/month), Power User (6 cases/month) or a single-use case.

If you would like to see a demo of ALLDATA Diagnostics, our professional-level scan tool that has the power of ALLDATA builtin and offers full-system, exportable pre- and post-scans, learn more.
